Care

This is the foundation's daily work: meet hunger, keep children learning, and bring dependable care close to elders and vulnerable families.

Our Mission

A foundation built on care.

We exist to be the helping hand that lifts people out of poverty, offering food where there is hunger, learning where doors have closed, and care where there is none.

The Abigail Thomas Foundation is just beginning, but its work is rooted in a simple conviction: no family, child, or elder should have to walk through fragile seasons alone.

Our Vision

No one should walk in separation. Hand in hand, we pull dignity into reality.

We walk alongside those who have been overlooked. This charity foundation exists for families, children, and elders in fragile transitions, meeting urgent, unglamorous needs and creating a reliable future where dignity is not a privilege, but the baseline.

How we intend to walk with people:

Dignity first: support should never make people feel small before they receive help.

Urgent needs matter: food, school materials, basic care, and safe connection are not minor things.

Families, children, and elders deserve to be seen before a crisis becomes permanent.

Community care works best when people are known, followed up with, and not left to walk alone.

Every act of support should move someone toward a more reliable future.

What we do

Programs rooted in real needs.

Support a program →

Hunger

Food & Relief

Food support and emergency relief for families facing difficult seasons.

Learning

Education

Scholarships, books, and after-school support that help children stay in classrooms instead of being pushed aside.

Care

Health & Elder Care

Community visits and basic care for elders and vulnerable people, because care should reach everyone.

Impact we are building

Every meal, every book, every visit adds up.

As the foundation launches, our impact story will be measured through the quiet but life-changing things people can actually feel: food at home, children in school, elders visited, and families treated with dignity.

Foundation opening

Beginning with clear care pathways for families, children, and elders in Ondo State.

Dignity-led support

Care that meets urgent needs without making people feel small before they receive help.

Practical care

Food and relief, education support, and health and elder care.

“We want families to say: the foundation helped my children stay in school, and helped our home feel steady again.”
“We want elders to feel: someone came close enough to notice, to visit, and to care.”

Founder

Abigail Thomas

What begins as one woman preparing extra portions for neighbours can grow into sacred work for a wider community.

Abigail believes poverty is not a personal failure, but a community responsibility, and that every act of care, however small, can help restore dignity.

“We don't give from what's left over. We give because someone is waiting.”
